Whatever

So I'm scatterbrained and can never find a moment to remember to blog. So sue me!

For the hundred or so people asking (okay, maybe like 10) for a belly pic, this is me at 20 weeks:

I hope you find it fulfilling. Don't ask me why, but I always feel ridiculous taking these pictures. The sole purpose is to show people how "big" you are and to look happy about it. Okay, okay...I am happy about it, however, it is still a little funny to me. And Jim always tells me I stand weird. Whatever!

Sunday after church, Henry was super-excited about one thing:

SEA LIONS!
For lack of a nice day or anything else to do, we decided to drive to Astoria and laugh at the sea lions. Which we did. Especially when one ginormous one steamrolled about 5 (loudly) protesting others. Jim and I could not stop laughing, but I think you had to be there. We're not sure why that sea lion thought it would be a good idea, if he was looking for just the right spot... Henry had fun imitating their sounds and yelling for them to go for a swim. Totally worth the trip!

Admiring the large, loud creatures:

Can't...get...enough...

So, not the best pictures or the best blog, but at least I did it! We are doing well in the Marr household, despite Henry's double ear-infection, which is not such a bad thing as he loooves his pink medicine (amoxicillin - gross). Soon to be named (JIM!) Baby Boy Marr #2 is keeping up his end of the bargain by dancing and performing taekwondo in my midsection day and night. I am not near as tired as I was a few weeks back but now it seems I have lost my brain. If you see it anywhere, please return it asap! Jim is working super-hard at work this week, so I can't wait for the weekend when he can hopefully rest!

Until next time...be it a few days or a few weeks...whatever!

More catching up!

Just some pics from a few weeks back...still trying to catch up with life. :)

These next 2 pics are from Arctic Blast 2008, not to be confused with Too Much Rain 2009. Jim built a snow tunnel in our neighbor's yard for Henry and Andrew to play in. Needless to say, a hit!

We were with Jim's family for Christmas, but I was able to go visit with my fam a few days after Christmas. My mom was even in town, so we got to spend a couple days with her. Woot! That made my Christmas!

Alex, Henry and Samantha (my cousins)
How cute are they?

A Day of Blessings

This day was yesterday. I would say today is also full of blessings, only Henry has been a pill most of the day. Of course I still love him to pieces, but I could do without the drama! I know, mom! Payback!
*
Anyhow...to the point of my blog...
*
Yesterday was Jim and my 9th Wedding Anniversary! Woot! That was blessing #1. :) For our anniversary, we went to my monthly check-up and got to hear one of the most beautiful sounds in all the world - our baby's heartbeat. Woot! That was blessing #2. Blessing #3 was Henry, who was so good and sweet and charming to everyone while he had to wait and wait for the doctor to come and for them to take my blood, etc. A lot of times, it is hard to go anywhere with a 2 1/2 year old, but yesterday was an exception and boy, were we thankful! It's also quite alarming how you feel when you are listening to your new baby's heartbeat while you are looking at your older baby's face. I wish you could have seen him. Without any sound, his face was in the perfect, "oooooh" state. By the way, he wants a little sister and he wants to name her Baby Jack. Nice.
*
And so I say thank you Lord, for my amazing husband, who - let's be honest here - puts up with a lot of drama himself...from ME! After 9 years of marriage, we still laugh with each other and AT each other every day. I couldn't ask for a better love, friendship or father to my children. I love you, Jim!
*
And thank you Lord, for my beautiful baby boy, Henry, and all that he has brought in to our lives - joy, love, laughter, adventure... What a perfect blessing we have in him.
*
Thank you for the teeny babe that is growing inside me now and for all that is in store for him/her. Already we love this child with all that is in us and we can't wait to hold this precious creation in our arms.

Oh happy day!
Sorry for the sapp!

I just want cute pictures...

know what you're thinking...TWO POSTS IN ONE DAY?!?!?! What has come over me? Truth be told, Henry is wanting to watch videos of himself over and over. How vain.

*

So. These videos were taken the other night when Jim and Henry were playing Mario Kart and they were so cute together - especially b/c Henry thinks he is playing, and keeps saying, "I did it!". So I was able to take a few pics, none of which are stellar, but as soon as I tell Henry to look and say "Cheese!" he turns into the 2 year old he is and is crawling all over me to "see" the camera. Blast technology and the ability to see your pictures immediately! I blame you for my son never taking a normal smiling picture! Here is my evidence!!!

This...is the world I live in. And it is also the reason we haven't done Christmas cards yet (or at all). We. Can't. Get. A. Good. Picture. People will say, "but those are the best kind of pictures!" Oh no, people. You know not what you speak of.

Good day!

Catching up

Well! Once again, I'm trying to play catch up! Though most people who follow my blog will already know this, we are expecting our next child! I am 14 weeks along and all I have wanted to do is sleep, sleep, sleep!! Hence, the no blogging. :) I will attempt to relive the last couple weeks with you through pictures. Enjoy!
*

Jim and Henry got to hang out a lot during all our Christmas performances at church. They went downtown one day and visited a giant Christmas tree in the Pearl...

Doesn't he look like he's aged a couple years??

And of course, Henry's favorite. Some break dancing! Or playing with the video games on the floor of Pioneer Place Mall.

Henry has really enjoyed the tree this year. Here is one of his favorite tree pastimes:

Playing video games!

Serious concentration. Jim doesn't look too confident.

Green popsicles!

On Sunday, it started snowing, so after a couple hours of watching from the warmth of indoors, we headed out to play!

Whee!!!

Unfortunately (for Jim), Henry now thinks that playing in the snow means having daddy pull you around in the sled.

There were more pics here, but after and hour, they're not showing up. I'll get to it later!

Cold days are for Jammies and Puffy Coats!

I know! Honestly, Steph! How hard is it to post pictures?! Well, these are the first pictures I've taken in a couple weeks!!!
*
It is FREEZING outside today and since we had nowhere to go, I let Henry stay in his PJ's all day. Now that's my kind of day! Since it was so sunny, I decided to suck it up and take Henry for a walk. We put on our puffy coats (Henry-his, me-Jim's b/c it goes to my knees!), snow boots and "TRUCK, MOM!" and headed out.
*
Enjoy reliving our morning with us:

What? You don't let your child play in the street?

Awesomest outfit EVER.

It got colder.

Stop taking pictures!

For our family members who don't get to witness Henry's antics every week, here are some updates on toddlerhood in the Marr house:
~~~~~~~~~~
Henry has decided to call us Mom and Dad. We have no idea where he picked this up.
~
Henry spoke thoughtfulness to me twice last week! Once, while I was on a ladder, he said "Be careful, Mommy!" And then, when I cut my finger in the kitchen and yelled out, he said, "Mommy, you okay?" Be still my heart.
~
If I'm doing something he doesn't want me to do at the moment, Henry will yell, "STOP IT, MOM!" Hmm...wonder where he picked that up... ;)
~
We explained to Henry this year about why we celebrate Christmas, and now he tells us that every Christmas decoration in our house - or in the neighborhood, or in Target - is for Jesus. :)
~
Henry always prays for our dinner
~
Now when I read to Henry, I stop at random parts and he'll look at me and fill in the blanks. Sometimes a whole sentence! Of course, these are books we've read to him for a while now, but still!
That's all for now!
