Just because my outfit is cute

Thanks, Auntie Jen, for my super-cute sweater and also the great shoe find at the Cousins' Closet sale last spring. I remember that sale...I was so excited about the shoes Auntie Jen found that I was born the next day. Anyhow, I sure love lookin' cute!

Welcome, Harvest!

This time of year always means looking forward to a trip to the pumpkin patch. It is so fun as your kids get older to watch them enjoy these outings more and more each year. We went from having to carry Henry around to "I want to do that! I want to go there!" and chasing him all over the farm. Although I had a nice back-ache from carrying Wyatt all day, I realized that next year he would be stumbling around on his own! Good times.

Here are some pics of our day on the farm with our "family":

Aunt Sarah is so captivating
Sun-squinting smiles :)

Henry: (stepping first foot out of the minivan upon arrival) I WANT TO SEE THE BABY CHICKS!
Check!

Loves him some punkins!

Props to daddy for this awesome picture! And also, what is it about hay bales and kids?

Wuv, twue wuv

Oh, Jack.
It's not normal to be this adorable, is it?

The Bunch Trio...soon to be Fourio.
We didn't get near enough pictures of everyone, but that's what happens when you're chasing kids through a maze of pumpkins and animals. Fun people, fun day!

Wyatt's new trick

He's been working on it for about a week and can finally do it all by himself for a few minutes (with the help of his hands for propping)! It especially helps when his big brother is around and he has something fun to watch. :)

I love being a big boy!

He turns 5 months old this Friday and it is SO CRAZY to me how fast this has gone. I mean, I felt like Henry's infancy went by fast, but Wyatt's is just flying by. I guess when you have so much to keep you busy, you don't have much time to think about it! It's funny to me how obsessed I was about milestones with Henry, and now...pfft. What's Wyatt supposed to be doing by now??? He's healthy, he's happy and apparently, he's sitting up now. Yay!

Sometimes I still take pictures

And sometimes I might actually play with them. Oooooh, look. She pressed "Sepia."

Are you impressed? Well, not to outdo myself, but I even remembered to bring a camera to Pumpkin Patch Day at preschool. It was fun! They brought the pumpkin patch to us, so there was no huge field trip fiasco (yet). The kids all had so much fun and this is the only picture I can show because I guess the appropriate thing to do before I post Henry's classmates' pictures all over the web is to ask their parents if it's okay. Anyhow, there were small, children sized pumpkins all over the field and yet Henry decided this pumpkin was the one we should take home:
He's all about saving time. It's already carved and everything! Too bad the teachers didn't go for it.

And just because his reaction was so cute, here is a video of Henry being excited about the next event of the day:
It is a good thing I am posting this right now and dwelling on good memories since all I can hear is him screaming upstairs. Not napping. Why is it that on days that he plays the hardest, he WILL NOT NAP? And on days we do NOTHING he can sleep for 2 hours? A conundrum, he is.
Well, I guess I'll go get him before he wakes up his brother and I go from annoyed to angry!!! MERCY! :)

Oh happy day

After a long week of Wyatt having an ear infection and not being his normal happy self, we are so thankful to have our baby back, healthy and smiling. We had his four month appointment last week and what with his weight *cough*18 lbs. 15 oz.*cough* and his length (28 inches) and his newer ability to kind of hold himself up(ish), I decided to pull out the old exersaucer and see what happened. At first, Henry was more excited than Wyatt was. However, it took approximately 10 seconds and some interaction from his big brother to give us this:

Are you kidding me? No matter how many awful and frustrating moments I may have with my children, its these moments I will remember more than anything. In these precious moments, I remember how very lucky I am. Who am I to deserve such a life?! The only thing that would make it better is if Jim could stay home all day, too. :)

A little preview...

...of my friends Tigger and Pooh. Try not to smile!

Now give me some honey!
Pretty sure he'll stay warm in this.
When I asked him if we could try his costume on, Henry looked at me most earnestly and said, "Can I jump in it, mommy?" Honestly. Kids are too cute sometimes.

Even though he helped me pick out his costume on ebay, I was so afraid Henry would not want to put it on. Well. Let's just say there was a bit of "tension" in the house when we told him he could not wear his costume to bed. Talk about roasted toddler!

Stay tuned for actual Halloween fun!

Ahoy

One of the fun things about having two boys is getting to dress up your younger son in his older brother's hand-me-downs. Almost everything I put on Wyatt, I remember putting on Henry and then of course I have to go back and look at pictures. While our boys do look alike, they also have differences that definitely make them individuals. I love that we will have so many comparison photos to show them when they're older. Can't you hear it now?? "Oh man, I was waaaay cuter than you!"

Henry the Sailor Man:

...and Wyatt the Skipper:

And here's another of our baby boy, just for kicks (and because he is so squishably cute):

** A million thanks to JCL for the hand-me-downs that are STILL getting used!**
