Pop-a-squat

Henry can sit up by himself now! He's been doing it for about a week and a half and can hold himself upright a little longer each new day. Sometimes he gets fascinated by his feet and it looks like he is stretching his hamstrings. Usually, that ends up with Henry toppling over. When he is sitting straight up and looking out, he seems to really enjoy his new vantage point. It is so exciting to see him learning new things all the time!

Exersaucer fun

Henry got an exersaucer from my mom for Christmas. He is still figuring it out, but he loves it! And I dare say it will help me at dinnertime. When we first put him in it, he looked at us like, "I don't get it." It didn't take long, however, for him to start putting things in his mouth. Here, you see him enjoying the tastes of the cowboy toy from Aunt Kathy and Uncle Eric.
Then he discovered that one of the gadgets on the exersaucer was just the right height...
And now that's what he always goes for.
What a fun(ny) boy.

Baby's first Christmas

We had a great Christmas with Jim's family, who all came to our house for a few days. To say the least, Henry had fun being passed from person to person and not taking naps. =) He of course had no idea that there was any kind of "holiday" going on, but it was fun for Jim and me to open his presents! Here are some pics of Henry and friends:

So you know your phone is too loud...

...when you're in a store and you say, "Oh, I love this song!" and then you realize it is actually your phone ringing in your purse.

Dear Jo, I like you. Love, Henry

These pictures were way too sweet not to post.

Dinner with friends

I love Aunt Becky. She holds me even though I'm nearly as big as she is.I couldn't get the camera to work right, so this next picture turned out blurry. However, I think it totally captures the essence of Carson. Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. Running, running through the house. Always on the move...can't catch him. Nothing like a neked, running babe.

Dad thinks I look cool

Jim thinks it's neat to flip up Henry's collars all the time. The outfit he is wearing is from my best friend in Florida, Tricia, and it is labeled 12 months. Hmmm. Still with the drool...

If you were ever wondering what I looked like as a baby, this is pretty much it. However, as of late, I have noticed some of daddy's features making their way to the stage. Isn't it weird how much babies change from one month to the next? Henry looks totally different than when he was born. The only time I notice a resemblence is when he is screaming (not out of joy). That look/expression has stayed pretty much the same. Sometimes, when a baby is crying, do you ever laugh b/c it's so cute?

Doggie

Suffice it to say, Henry will most likely not be afraid of big dogs. Maddie has deemed herself protector of our little tyke. An hour will go by and we'll realize we haven't seen Maddie for a while...where do we find her? Sleeping under Henry's crib while he's sleeping. Hopefully, Henry likes her back so she can get a little more exercise in about a year or so. =)

Jim and Henry travel the world

I took a pic of my boys in every country at Epcot. You can see that Henry was thrilled in most of the pics! I can't tell which of the countries are which b/c there is such a small frame of the actual pavillions. Oh well. You get the idea.
