Who I want to be

Today, my mom leaves to go back home to Orlando. She was able to be here for 12 days and I was so thankful!! Besides all the things she helped with (dinner, cleaning, laundry, Wyatt, HENRY!), I just love having her company. I know how blessed I am to have a mother who I not only love, but like so, SO much. Everything that I could ever hope to be as a mother, she is. Loving, kind, patient, generous, calm, WONDERFUL...the list goes on. She has grown from just mother to friend, and I wish she were closer all the time! I would like to say that when I said goodbye, I held up quite nicely, but as usual, I was a blubbering fool. :) Henry hasn't stopped asking where Grandma is and when she's coming back and that he misses her. We miss you already, mom!

Here a just a few pics of us while she was here...I'll post more later!

We love you, mom! Thank you for coming!

PS Henry wants to play more Hi-Ho Cherry-O with you. :)

Steph...I am more and more impressed each time I am with you at the wonderful wife and mother you have become. You have created a safe and happy place for all your boys, and I love being there in the midst of it!

I'm so thankful for all the time we had together...we made some wonderful memories that I will hang on to for a long time!

I love you so much...tell Henry I can't wait to play more H-H-C-O!!

love you all, Mom

First of all, you look fantastic! Did you really just have a baby? Secondly, your kids and mom are a-dorable. I can imagine how wonderful it must be to spend time with a mom like that and at the same time how hard it must be when she leaves. I feel like I have never needed/desired my mom's company and help more than now as a mom, and that just serves as a compliment to you and your family. Many of us are doing this motherhood thing WITH the help of our close-by moms, and you are without your mom in physical proximity and make it all look so effortless. You must be some incredible lady to manage all that! From the way you described your mom I am sure that she too is amazed at who you are and all you do. I know I am! Hugs, tears, more hugs...you make me wanna call my mommy and tell her I love her.:)

We all feel blessed to have had her. I treasure the visit we got to have and look forward to the next time. Your christmas visit will be here before you know it. Nothing like a friendship with a daughter. It just keeps on growing.
Love you all dearly!!!! Nina
