Henry: But I don't waaaaant a naaaaap! I'm not tiiiiiirrrrrred! (repeat, repeat, repeat)
Me: If you don't stop whining, you're going to time-out. Do you want to spend some time in time-out?
***Dramatic pause***
Henry: If I go to time-out, then I don't have to have a nap?
Honestly. What happened to just saying no???

I'm as proud of Henry as I've ever been after reading that.
Hmmm... That is hilarious! It sounds like Henry is getting real good at figuring things out - at least as far as getting his way! Too cute.
As horrible as it is in the moment, the fact that he's learning to reason is so cool. We finally had to turn to rewarding good behavior since the time-outs were happening SEVERAL times each day. But just wait, soon you will have two little lovelies trying to out-smart you with their toddler logic. Lovely and oh so frustrating all at the same time. ph
