Emotional Eater

I took this video about a month ago, when Henry had just finished his lunch. Let's just say that his favorite time is NOT when he has finished all of his food. If it were up to him, mealtime would never end. He's not quite so dramatic anymore, but still gives a pretty intense whine. I just think it's funny. Enjoy!

Growing up

...in more ways than one! I just wanted to post this picture that displays the new Henry. For a few weeks now, his personality has been developing into a much more interactive and funny one. He is starting to mimic more, smiles and giggles a lot and just loves to bang stuff together. My favorite new thing about my baby boy is that he SINGS! It is pretty darn cute and really darn funny to hear. If I start singing to him, he will sing back, only his singing is VERY loud and VERY high pitched. :) We are just loving watching him grow and learn and learn and grow every day. It's like you blink and your child has changed so much! Anyhow, just a little update on my little sugar-pie!

Someday, I'll remember not to talk when filming these videos, though I think the encouragement helps.

Cruisin'

So we've apparently skipped the crawling (though he is getting better at moving around down there) and have gone straight to cruising. He's great at moving to the right, a little more funky about moving to the left. But let's just say he LOVES it. There are always high pitched squeals in the house when he's up and movin'.

How can you not go for a walk to the park on a day like this? And when going to the park with your baby, how can you not bring a camera?

My brother and I finally got Henry to clap yesterday when we were on the MAX. There is no sound to his movement, but at least he's got the right motion down. And of course, the trigger word is "Yaaaaaah." :) We practiced again this morning...

Family, food and sunshine

What gorgeous weather we have been having. We would have been stupid not to go enjoy it with Jim for a family picnic! Here's a pic of Henry enjoying his lunch while we watched some ultimate frisbee players at the Nike campus:

You know what's so cute?

When you're in the kitchen and over the baby monitor you hear your manly-man of a husband making the silliest and most high-pitched noises you have ever heard from him before and then...the sound of your baby giggling.

Gimme a spa-i-acy meat-a-ball!

A couple days ago, I fed Henry some Chef Boyardee shells and meatballs. I couldn't help myself. The container was so small and cute and microwavable...I think it was made for toddlers but oh well! Needless to say, he loved it and I had fun watching him get messy. :)

Grass 'n shorts

Warm weather sure brings some fun things with a baby. One is grass, which Henry really likes to feel. The other is shorts, which show off his chubby thighs. :) Here's a couple pics from last night, enjoying the afternoon sunshine:

Express yourself

I was going to wait till tomorrow to post this, but I can't help myself. :) I caught a bunch of funny expressions from Henry today and I just wanted to share. He's a nut.

There is a strange noise coming from him...it's kind of like when you hock a loogie (sorry). It's his new favorite!

Hmm...my mom says this is pretty good...I'm not sure about those short guys with the hairy feet though...

Lately...

Here's just a little update on what Henry's been up to lately...

Henry rolls and rolls and turns and rolls and sometimes ends up far away from mama. Then I get this look that says, "Help?"

He is definitely getting better at getting himself around, even though it still doesn't involve crawling. :P

Today, Henry pulled his first videos off the shelf. Please note which videos he chose. Mama's boy, I guess. :)


Lastly, Henry is getting his two front teeth! The left one is starting to push its way through. Uh oh. Henry is telling me it is time for a bottle and nap. Must go!
