Give me red sauce!!!

Henry has been sick as a dog for the past week and people...he even stopped eating. I am not kidding. I would make many alternatives to each meal and he still wouldn't eat. Not. Even. A. Banana.
Anyhow, finally, on Monday he decided he was hungry and he gobbled up all of his Turkish Pilaf and green beans. Me thinks he was so hungry, he couldn't get it all in fast enough, hence the red sauce face.

Our Big Boy

At 18 months, Henry has graduated from his high chair to a booster seat! For anyone who might think we are trying to grow our child too fast, please note that we did not want Henry having any accidents in his high chair as he is exceeding the weight limit. :)

Here, you will see that he saved his asparagus for last. Don't worry...he ate it all.

Fun times to come at the Marr table.

I'll drink to that!

Update

Yikes! I haven't been taking any pictures lately! I picked up the camera yesterday and took a few so I could say I took something in January. Henry will be 18 months old in a few days, even though he passed that "size" many moons ago. :)

Look at what a big boy Henry is looking like! His hair is really starting to come in thicker (finally!) and is climbing more and more. His favorite thing is to climb up on the couch.

Since I had Henry by myself this last weekend, he had to come to church early with me to rehearse, etc., and got introduced to the drums by our drummer, Walt. He was obsessed. It was next to impossible to pull the drumsticks out of his hands and get him off the stage. Pretty cute, though.

Here he is practicing his skills on our homemade drum set.

As long as he doesn't want a real drum set someday, I'm okay with this fun activity!

Fun fact...

I forgot to mention this in my previous post...

See the guy singing next to my mom?? His name is Jeremy. He is replacing Jody McBrayer in AVALON!!! Cool, huh? He was so nice and we met his wife and daughter also, who were cute as can be. We were lucky to catch him - I think he was on his last week of singing with Voices. Hmmm, now that I think of it, maybe I can score some free concert tickets... :)

Breakfast with Goofy

As is tradition in my family, we went to a character breakfast on Christmas Eve morning so Henry could experience the characters close up. I told him beforehand that if he screamed and cried and didn't like them, he could not possibly be my son. Good thing he loved them! :) It was like it was an everyday occurrence. "Oh, hi Goofy!" It was about the cutest thing I've ever seen. We had Goofy, Minnie and Chip come and sit down right next to Henry. They kissed him, gave him high fives, colored with him and even got fed by him!

Goofy, his bud

Minnie, his girl

Chip asks for a "five" and...

Henry gives him some eggs!

What a sweet boy to share with Chip. :)

Playgroud fun!

Because it was so HOT in Orlando, we made lots of use of the neighborhood park near my parents home. It was the first time Henry really showed confidence going up and climbing around all on his own. We all had fun!

Now I need to give a shout out to Ethan (Aunt Sarah!!) for letting us borrow all his clothes! Without him, Henry would have been sweating up something fierce!

Here are some pics of our playground fun:

We saw all the characters sing and dance on the Magic Kingdom Stage...

We went on the carousel...

DUMBO! Crazy dad.

Mom had fun, too!

Henry kept a very serious face while on the rides. You might not think he enjoyed himself, except when the ride was over he would say "more? more?" over and over. What a nut.

What better excitement to find at Epcot than a leaf?
