The moment you've all been waiting for...

Two mommies have waited a long time to see their babies actually "play" together. And now, for your viewing pleasure...Carson and Ethan Laugh at Blocks. :)

Are they not the cutest??

Sorry it's not very long...I haven't figured out how to shrink my video file sizes.

More beach pics

Okay, so I had too many cute/funny pics and I wanted to share more. So sue me!

Ethan

I think we've all said it...I have never known such a happy baby as Ethan. He is always smiling, laughing, flirting...it's impossible not to smile yourself. :) We all had such a hoot (that's right, a hoot) watching him play in the sand.

Our great weekend...

Started with Henry's first camping trip! It went pretty well. He cried a bit, probably out of confusion. I mean, who wouldn't want to know why they were sleeping in the freezing cold under what looks like a sheet?? :) I kid, I kid. We had a lot of fun with our little kiddo.

Look, I'm camping!

Mmmm...daddy's gourmet camping meal...couscous with chicken and olives...

Night, night

Our campsite was right on the beach, so we of course took advantage of a few walks in the sand.

And we walked and walked on the beach...

On Friday, we had a great family fun day, doing vacation-y sort of things. Despite the gloomy forcasts, we had amazingly gorgeous weather and had so much fun hanging out with the sun. :) Our first stop of the day after a nap and lunch was the sea lion caves on the coast (somewhere south of Newport). Neither of us had ever been there but thought it sounded cool...it was! You take an elevator way, way down and are actually in the caves with the sea lions (with a fence between us, mind you). Henry just stared and stared and seemed to enjoy the very loud sea lions.

Here was the few from above the caves, and our next destination...

After the sea lion caves, we went to Haceda Head Lighthouse. We took a small hike uphill to get to it and took a fun tour of the lighthouse after enjoying the gorgeous view from above.

The lighthouse

The view

Our tour guide, Bob - love him!

Henry's thoughts on the tour - pfft! :)

After the lighthouse hike/tour, we spent some time on the gorgeous beach below. Henry walked into the water for the first time...

Hi dad! Look at me!

Not sure where he's being led...

Oh fun! I like water!

Ack! I don't like this water!

Okay, neither did mom. It was about 50 degrees. Brrr!

We spent Friday and Saturday nights in Florence with the Tompkins and the Thompsons b/c the guys ran in the Cape Mountain Trail Run on Saturday morning. Good job guys!
On Saturday, we all went to the beach in Florence with our boys, and what an incredible afternoon it was! The boys had fun playing in the sand and we even saw a sea lion swim up to shore yelling at us for food. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Sunday we came home and enjoyed a night in our own beds (especially Henry). What a great, great weekend!

Um, wow...he's getting so BIG!

These are some pics from the past few days. Lately, Jim and I have really begun to notice how much Henry is changing every day. He is all of a sudden (not really) so big, he's smiling all the time (come on...remember when there were no smiles for like ever?), he's pulling up and walking all over the place (with help, mind you). It's just crazy how proud you are of all his little achievements. I can't get enough of him!

Finally...almost 11 months later...the crib has been lowered.

That's right. Dad just had to get him some Jordan shoes. I think what he said to Henry was, "Son, these are the shoes I always wanted as a kid."

Proud of his new shoes!

Slumber Party Weekend

Since all of our husbands were enjoying the rain and wilderness, we girls decided to enjoy the indoors with our (little) boys. We had such a good time just relaxing and letting the boys get to know each other better. I have a winner video of Carson and Ethan playing together to post as soon as I have a chance to upload it. Anyways, here are some pics from the weekend. Oddly enough, we didn't take any of us girls! Go figure!

Carson is good at giving "loves" and Henry still doesn't know what to make of it.

We read lots of books.

This is the closest we could get to them all facing forward! Imagine what four adults were doing in the background to keep them seated and looking our way...

Ethan...being his funny self. :)

BATHTIME! There were three in the tub, but there are no "appropriate" pictures to post of Carson and I can't edit "anything" out with Picassa. :)

Thanks, girls for a super-fun weekend!
