This is my birthday song, it isn't very long
Happy Birthday to me
I'm twenty six and three
I'm one year from thirty
And eleven from fourty!
Today I turn 29 and as any mature adult would do (snicker), I was considering my life this morning as I sang the above song to myself. I thought to myself, "Wow. I'm pretty lucky." Here are my top 5 reasons for being truly happy at 29:
1) I am loved by God no matter how I fail (and that's huge!)
2) One amazing husband
3) A darling little boy
4) A loving, supportive family
5) Many loving, supportive friends
Though I'm not much of a goal setter, I have some wishes for myself this year. Here they are:
1) Love and obey my Heavenly Father in the big and small things
2) To be a loving, supportive, rational wife :)
3) Be a living example of God's love for my child
4) Be loving, supportive and selfless to my family
5) Be loving, supportive and selfless to my friends
This picture is about about 2 months old, but it's of the two people who make my life so full of joy every day. I realize that not everyone crawls into bed each night and thinks, "What did I do to deserve this blessed life?"...so I know how very blessed I am.
Here's to a charmed life!

Pics for dad
Jim called me this morning and said, "When are you going to blog again?" So here are a few pics for Jim to look at while he's at work. :)
Okay, I have to say that Henry really does like the swing, but it was really bright outside and everyone was watching him. Doesn't he look like he's plotting something? **When they get me off this swing, I'm gonna...**

Conversations with Henry
In most ways, I and everyone else would say that Henry has Jim's personality. He will definitely be a thinker, an observer and a slightly serious fellow, I'm sure. However, there are moments when he shows his flare for the dramatic and communicates through his hilarious expressions. Suffice it to say, we always know how Henry is doing by the look on his face. I can say with much confidence that he gets that...from me.

Dada...WAH!
Henry has been a little more fussy than usual this week. Can't tell if he's getting more teeth or if it's something to do with his tummy. However, we are still able to get some fun moments in with him in between the wails of discomfort! The past week or so, Henry has really started talking more - always with the "dadadadadada" and the occasional "blah" or "plah." There's also the whispered "shley shley shley" and the dramatic ending of "pbbblt!" (that's the spitting noise). :)
Here are some pics:
Why are babies so cute when they're next to naked or just plain in the nude?

Wow. Is it just me or does Henry look enormous? Go figure...he's enjoying the root of that observation!
Okay...another fun game of Jim's. Always putting Henry's burp cloth on his head. This one, in particular, tucks very nicely behind his ears. My sweet little nun. Er...

Posture perfect
Jim likes to play this game he invented called "coffee table." He use to play it with Maddie but his new favorite subject is poor little Henry. The idea of the game is to see how much stuff you can stack on the subject without it falling off. Jim could pretty much stack our whole library of books on Maddie without her flinching, but as you can see and probably imagine, babies are of a different breed. I have to say though, Henry has some mad balancing skills (mad = awesome).

Recently...
Sorry it's been a week or so... Sometimes you find time and sometimes there is just none to spare! We have had a great week. Henry finally sprouted his two bottom teeth and though he is not crawling yet, he is moving something like an inchworm. He hasn't figured out how to have both his bum and his chest up off the ground at the same time, thus, bum up, bum down, inch forward, then push up and smile! :) Henry has also discovered his screaming voice and L O V E S it. I have to say, it is quite funny. It can come out of nowhere. He was squealing with delight before - now it is quite literally screaming. And when he screams once, it's as if he's just remembered he can, and so he does it some more, and then some more. You get the point. Funny boy.
Here are some pics from the past week of Mr. Goofy pants:
It was a cold day, he was a cute and bundled babe.
